Alessio Trapella releases “Icaro”, his second solo album:
A rock concept suspended between stars and the abyss
After his acclaimed solo debut, Alessio Trapella returns with a new and powerful work: Icaro, a six-track rock concept album based on the famous mythological legend and tells a double story, visceral and contemporary. The album will be available on October 10 on all digital platforms and in physical format, CD and LP.
Icaro is both a sonic and narrative journey divided into two acts: the ascent and the fall. An album balanced between dream and damnation, intertwining two overlapping narrative layers.
The first story—the visible, fantastic one—is set in a suspended future, where a modern Icarus feels an irresistible need to travel among the stars. Thanks to the help of a mysterious “man of the stars,” he embarks on a cosmic journey that takes him further and further away from Earth, from reality, to a point of no return.
But beneath this science-fiction surface lies a second, rawer, more earthly story: a parable of addiction and self-destruction. The desire to escape is the symptom of a deeper malaise. The “man of the stars” is the dealer, the spaceship a dose, and deep space becomes the prison of oblivion.

The musicians:
Alessio Trapella is joined by two musicians who bring body and intensity to the project:
On the track Il Gesto we can also hear the saxophone of Nicola Cecchetto.
The artwork:
To seal the visual and symbolic strength of the album, the cover is signed by sculptor Bruno Martinuzzi, who created an original piece for Icaro: his contemporary interpretation of the myth of Icarus, suspended between classical form and futurist tension. The image captures the very heart of the record: the fragile and powerful instant when man comes too close to the Sun.
Alessio Trapella comments:
“Icaro is an album born from a question: where does the desire to escape lead us? It is a record in which the urge to rise turns into a fall. I tried to tell two stories at once, leaving the listener free to get lost among the stars… or within the cracks.”
Icaro confirms Alessio Trapella’s compositional and narrative talent, weaving visceral rock, evocative lyrics, and a strong conceptual framework. An intense work to be listened to in one breath, created to guide the listener on a journey that is as interstellar as it is inner.
